Do you feel the same?

I wanted to share a genuine thought, and I hope it’s received with kindness.

My father was the first in our family to go abroad, and since then we’ve lived in different parts of the world. No matter where I am, I always make it a point to visit India every few months — for the people, the temples, the functions, and the beautiful vibe. I truly love being here.

But at the same time, I’ve noticed something that confuses me.

Even though I come here hoping to reconnect, I often end up feeling a bit lonely. It feels like everyone is busy, or there’s always some reason why meeting doesn’t happen. And when I do meet people, I sometimes sense stress, frustration, or distraction — whether it’s among friends or family.

It made me wonder…

Is life here becoming more stressful than it looks from outside?

Does being physically close to family and friends still feel emotionally distant for many?

I don’t mean this as a complaint — just an honest reflection. I still believe life can be simple and joyful when we appreciate what we have.

Would love to hear your thoughts, respectfully ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Out of sight Out of mind. If you are not physically close on a daily/frequent basis, people forget you. I live in USA and I visit India every year. People who were very close - go to movies with me or go to restaurant with me for dinner or just play cards - are distancing themselves. They have moved on - they have new life new friends and forgot me. But for me the old memories linger. Our memories are frozen and we cannot go back to the olden times.
