Chit chat about Republic Day with Tungli

Happy Republic Day to all ! 

Today I thought of sharing my memories of Republic Day when I was a child and what I tell to Tungli .

Republic Day is always a happy day for us because we know that we don’t have classes and can go to see and get the chocolates after flag hoisting . I remember the parade in dd channel going on and meantime all the work at home also will be going on . I was a little sad on not wearing colour dress and going to school for flag hoisting but later I understood why it was always uniform . I used to walk to my school through the highway those days . Now the scene is not like this . Counting how many chocolates each got is an other fun time . 

Today due to covid and as the schools are closed Tungli doesn’t have a chance to experience this type of a Republic Day. 

Today morning I taught her vande mataram  song, Jana gana mana and how we used to go to school . I asked her the flag colours and to tell a little bit about india . I am glad that she remembers what I taught her and also remembers the flag that she made for Independence Day at Chennai . She said I look like lotus flower :) 

After all this chatting she asked me do they sing Jana gana mana and hoist flag for your birthday as today is my star birthday. I felt it really cute !!

 

Hello December !

 Hi Everyone! 

How is it going in your end ? Suddenly as this omicron has popped up in the news I just thought of sharing some positive things here . 

I hope we all can face whatever comes up next . Have seen the worst in past two years in all ways . Health , wealth everything has been a mess . So I hope we can still fight strongly for sure . We can , We must . 

I have started to think what hobby to find next regardless of the situation . 

1 . Planning to improve my cooking channel . I mean the shooting style and dishes that I make .  

2 . Have to buy a microwave oven and learn some baking skills 

3 . Also thinking to do some paintings and collecting some home decors .

4 . Have found some interest in ceramics these days . 

5. Also planning to keep home more cleaner and de clutter a lot I already have less things but planning to reduce more . 

6 .Have to draw and keep some blouse designs to stitch in the future when going to india . I like making my own designs . 

7. Planning to reduce social media . 

8 . Trying to stay in peace , Save  money , make good food with whatever is available and keep people around happy .

Happy Onam 🌸

Hope you all are doing well . This Onam we celebrated in Chennai with just 3 members at home . Myself and Tungli made pookalam everyday and I am posting some of them here . I hope you will like it .

 Hello Everyone! 

How are you all doing ? I hope things are a little better than before for many , if not let’s hope it gets better . Nothing much to write today . I am at home and doing some minimal hobbies and busy with Tungli . 

I hope all find some joy in upcoming months of festivals like Onam , navarathri, deepavali etc . Let’s pray it all goes well and some might get a chance to dress up well or see near and dear ones . Finance ! Yes it’s a problem for most of them but still let’s try to find some small happiness around us . Must be grateful for whatever we have now .

My Lockdown Garden

 Hello there ….

During these times I dint use much of Instagram and Facebook instead I did some gardening from the scratch and I am posting some pictures of the plants and flowers here . 

I am really happy looking at them because it’s something that I grew myself with good care . 

Our house is a very small one in Chennai city with a small balcony . I wish to have a larger space soon . For now I have made use of the space that I have beautifully . 

Many of the flowers are waiting for the first bloom . Once it is I shall make another post with the other flowers from the garden
